One of the first runs recorded in history, in the Bible at the beginning of the book of Samuel: “And a man of Benjamin ran from the battle and came to Shiloh on that day.” Running on roads via a wide, comfortable route. From Ariel to Ancient Shiloh.
It is in this unique atmosphere that the first marathon in history has been renewed, in an athletic event that includes hundreds of runners worldwide. The race is set to begin in the modern-day city of Rosh Haayin, site of the ancient Eben-Ezer and now home to some 40,000 people. It will continue along Israel’s Highway 5 towards the city of Ariel and continues on, culminating in a huge, exciting EXPO event among the ruins and mosaics of ancient Shiloh.
